Shkodra is the fourth biggest city in Albania by territories and by population as well. Shkodra is bordered by Montenegro where the countries share the lake that also holds the name of the city - Shkoder Lake. Shkodra is a must-visit for the ones that love the beauty of nature, great food, fine wine, and the charm of history.

Tour Program

Departing from Tirana at 9 am from your Hotel or in front of our office, drive to Shkodra around 2 hrs drive. Shkodra was the capital of an important Illyrian Kingdom in the 3rd century BC, with its center where the Rozafa fortress is situated today upon entry into the modern city. Shkodra was also the center of the Roman Catholic minority in Albania due to its traditional centuries-old ties with Venice. Italian architecture is present also in the buildings of the beginning of the 20th century. We will take a walk in the newly renovated pedestrian area of Italian and Austrian architectural influences, testimony to this town's historic links with both these countries. Before turning back to Tirana, stop for a short visit to Lezhe. Here you can visit the tomb of the Albanian National Hero - Skanderbeg.
