Full Description

Tour of the Berat wine region: the stages of the tasting. TAB will take you to discover one of the most beautiful wine regions in Albania. You will visit three cellars in the surroundings of Berat, you will meet the producers, tasting wines and raki produced from native vines. Lunch in a small village and visit vineyards.

Meet with our representative at your Hotel or in front of our office. Drive towards the Berat region. Arrive in Berat and continue to Visit the Nurellari winery to taste some of Albanian best wines you will go to Nurellari Winery, one of the best-known wineries near Berat, near the Osum river valley. This winery has become famous in recent years for the production of Montemeca, a blend of international red grapes, which received the prize for the best Albanian wine in 2011. You will find yourself in the small village of Fushe-Peshtan, surrounded by hills and mountains, an agricultural area where the population is dedicated to the production of wine and oil. The Nurellari Winery was born in 1995, adapting the spaces of an old communist food warehouse. Continue to Visit the Alpeta Cellars in the village of Roshnik

Leaving Fushe-Peshtan, in a thirty-minute drive you will reach Roshnik, a characteristic country village in which you will have the opportunity to take a short walk. Nestled on the side of a gentle hill and surrounded by inaccessible mountains, Roshnik has maintained its imprint as a small country center. The second stop on our wine tour of Albania is the guided visit to the Alpeta winery, where the Pules grape has been cultivated for about a thousand years. It is a magical place in itself, both for the landscape, surrounded by lakes, hills, and vineyards, and for the historicity of this vineyard. Here Pules found the right environment to express his best notes. Right here at the Alpeta Cellars, the most traditional white wine of the Berat region is produced, with an excellent bouquet and a persistent aftertaste that recalls the scent of the broom. By tasting the wines of the Alpeta on a guided tour of the cellars and vineyards, you will also get hungry. Drive for about 30 minutes you will reach the third and final stage of our wine tour of Albania. These are the Cobo Winery cellars, located in the countryside near the town of Ura Vajgurore. Almost all the families who live in this area produce wine. The Cobo family has been doing it professionally since the early 1900s, but they started the actual business only in 1996. Today the reins of the company are in the hands of Muharrem Cobo, the founder's grandson, who produces six Berat wines (Trebbiano, Kashmir, Shesh i Zi, Shesh i Bardhë, E Bardha, and Beratit), and two kinds of raki (Raki më Arra and Raki Rrushi). Cobo cellars are famous for Kashmir, also known as Berat Red. The name of this wine is inspired by the red color of the icon painter Onufri. Kashmir is a combination of three classic vineyards: Cabernet, Shesh - another autochthonous vineyard, and Merlot. The cultivation of Berat wines and other wines in Albania.
